Chief Master Sgt. Connie M. Bacik assumed the position of the 128th Air Refueling Wing command chief master sergeant during a Change of Authority ceremony here on May 18, 2014.

The 128 ARW service members gathered in an aircraft hangar on base to witness the assumption ceremony of a new 128 ARW command chief master sergeant. Bacik's family showed their support by also attending the ceremony.

Distinguished guests included Major Gen. Donald Dunbar, Brigadier Gen. Gary Ebben, Col. Yenchesky, and Command Chief Master Sgt. Greg Cullen.

Bacik assumed the position from Chief Master Sgt. Joseph Parlato, who served as the command chief master sergeant of the 128 ARW since 2008.

As command chief master sergeant of the 128 ARW, Bacik will be the representative for the enlisted members here. She will also advise commanders on matters that affect the enlisted core and the overall mission.

"I stand here in front of you, ready to serve as your command chief," said Bacik during her acceptance speech. "I look forward to serving you all."
