New Commander, Same Mission

MILWAUKEE, WI -- Col. Edward E. 'Ted' Metzgar was formally recognized as the commander of the 128th Air Refueling Wing on March 7, 2009, during a change of command ceremony held at General Mitchell Air Field. 

Metzgar was preceded by Col. Murry Mitten, who moved to Joint Force Headquarters in Madison as the Chief of Staff for Air on Feb. 9, 2009. 

Metzgar transitioned from the 115th Fighter Wing in Madison, where he was the Maintenance Group Commander. He has been stationed at air bases in Korea, South Carolina, Texas and Wisconsin, and he has deployed to locations in Turkey, Kuwait and Iraq.
