128 ARW recognizes Airmen with Hometown Heroes Salute award
MILWAUKEE – The 128th Air Refueling Wing and state senior leadership officials present Hometown Heroes Salute awards to 253 Airmen in recognition of their service following the events of Sept. 11, 2001. Brig. Gen. Donald P. Dunbar, the adjutant general, Brig. Gen. John E. McCoy, the deputy adjutant general for Air, and Col. Ted Metzgar, the commander of the 128 ARW, individually thanked the Airmen for their contributions as a crowd of nearly 1,000 family members and fellow Airmen was in attendance.
